Sarevok is standing near two other Dukes of Baldur's Gate, Lila Jannath and Belt who are trying to calm the tensions in the room. Despite looking like a very obvious bad guy in his evil black armour, Sarevok will portray himself as the city's saviour, even though he's actually announcing a coup.
As you approach the bridge to Baldur's Gate, you will meet a smuggler called Tomlin. He will offer to get you into Baldur's Gate for 100G. However, you can save your money since no-one tries to stop you anyway. If you had dealings with Husam earlier, he'll approach you when you enter the area.

Candlekeep is a many towered fortified library in Baldur's Gate that stands on a crag, looking down upon the Sea of Swords. The library is filled with books and scrolls of knowledge.
Husam is a drunk thief and an ex-employee of the Iron Throne found hanging out in a small room in the thieves' guild headquarters in East Baldur's Gate.

It's unclear exactly what happened during the battle, but one of the fighters was slain, and the other transformed into a monster, which had to be killed by the Flaming Fist mercenaries. Background information: Sarevok Anchev is – or was – your half-brother, one of the mightiest of the Bhaalspawn. He grew up as an orphan in the streets until adopted into the Iron Throne. He was the main antagonist and boss in Baldur's Gate where you had to kill him in the end.

When Sarevok dies, you will unlock the Hero of Baldur's Gate trophy and, if nobody apart from Sarevok died, Leave No Friend Behind.
You will emerge just outside the Iron Throne Headquarters so go inside. A woman called Dhanial will complain about Sarevok's activities regarding the Iron Throne. As you make your way to the stairs, you will meet another disgruntled Iron Throne lackey, Pang Wallen.
A short distance to the west of your starting point is a party of Iron Throne mercenaries led by Rahvin. They are here to kill Sarevok but have no objection to taking you out at the same time.
