You have to be really lazy to get a B in art appreciation. The quizzes take like 10 minutes because all the answers are online and the discussions posts are a joke and it's really easy to get full points on them. It takes about an hour to do all of it and I have a 102% right now, so yeah it is a really easy class with like no effort.

1. Course Description • This course covers the study of Visual Arts, Performing Arts, Cinema, and Literature. • It will expose students to Classical and contemporary artists, their works, and the environment in which they lived, which inspired them to create.

Common Course Description : A general introduction to the visual arts designed to create an appreciation of the vocabulary, media, techniques, and purposes of the creative process. Students will critically interpret and evaluate works of art within formal, cultural, and historical contexts.
Scholastic Dishonesty: A student attending ACC assumes responsibility for conduct compatible with the mission of the college as an educational institution. Students have the responsibility to submit coursework that is the result of their own thought, research, or self-expression. Students must follow all instructions given by faculty or designated college representatives when taking examinations, placement assessments, tests, quizzes, and evaluations. Actions constituting scholastic dishonesty include, but are not limited to, plagiarism, cheating, fabrication, collusion, and falsifying documents. Penalties for scholastic dishonesty will depend upon the nature of the violation and may range from lowering a grade on one assignment to an “F” in the course and/or expulsion from the college. If computers are persistently misused in class, the professor may prohibit their use entirely. Due Dates for paper and test dates are strictly observed. Students are responsible for knowing and abiding by the test dates and paper due date.
Students who quit the course must officially withdraw, or receive an "F" for the course . A student may withdraw by going to any ACC Admissions and Records office and filling out a withdrawal slip; professor’s signature is not required. Note: there is a state law that limits withdrawals.
Students will learn a vocabulary appropriate for describing and analyzing of works of art and will become familiar with the tools, techniques, and media used to produce works of art. A class visit to a museum in Ft Worth is a required component of this class. Students will learn presentation skills and will actively participate in class discussions and in teaching the class.
The student is responsible for making the initial contact with the Ranger College counselor. It is advisable to make this contact before or immediately after the beginning of the semester. Please show documentation to instructor on or before third day of class.
Adult behavior is expected of all students at all times. Misconduct, including sleeping in class, will be punishable by immediate dismissal from class. Students are expected to maintain classroom decorum that includes respect for other students and the instructor, as well as an attitude that seeks to take full advantage of the education opportunity represented by enrollment in this class and Ranger College.

In an art appreciation class , when things go as planned, one appreciates art. I know, at first glance it sounds really silly. However, as it turns out, there is much to appreciate in art that is not obvious at first to people who have not been exposed to art that is not traditional in their circle of friends and neighbors.
Well, not every artwork is going to reveal itself at first glance, and that can be a lot for people. Sitting in front of a piece with someone else who has studied the work, and [most importantly] is practiced in guiding others what to look for, can reveal hidden layers to art.
