AMSG has the same struggles that all of education is feeling right now- low kids, poor pay and long hours. But at the Glendale campus we have a leadership team that goes above and beyond every day to do what is best for students and teachers.

Replaces staff consistently

Poor organization throughout. No one seems to know what they are doing because staff is replaced constantly. Most teachers are not teachers just adults babysitting the students. It is a 6am to 6pm daycare disguised as a school. Administration does not have administrative credentials. Just a company taking advantage of the title I community.

Good place to learn the ropes

Good environment to start out teaching and learn in a place with a lot of structure and support. Good coworkers make all the difference. Hard to find flexibility.

Your job is secure, management isn't

This is the worst, and I mean the worst school I have worked at. The turnover rate is very high due to how disorganized the school is. Just a few weeks in the school had atleast 5 teachers quit as well as the dean. The schedules constantly changed from the first day and the school left their teachers unprepared for the first week of school.

A job that can drain energy for overworking and dealing rude children

Let me start off that within teachers has a great supportive environment where teachers helps teachers (such as exchanging tips on grading system, giving lessons, etc). Also depending on choice of health insurance plan, you don't have to pay anything of the most basic one.

Toxic Mess

There are way too many issues to list, but this company has grown too big too fast to really serve the communities it's gone into. Maybe it was different in the beginning but this became a pet project for a billionaire somewhere along the line and became cooperate.

If you have a credential, run away now!

Only work here if you do not have a teaching credential and have to find something right away. The starting salaries are pretty decent but they top out very fast. There are after-school opportunities that pay well but most teachers are so done by the end of their day, they do not wish to stay on campus longer.
