Updated for 2022. The CO Multistate Pharmacy Jurisprudence Examination is a difficult test that requires knowledge of both federal and state laws.
The CT MPJE is heavily state law focused. They definitely include some federal statues/regulations, DEA stuff etc but for the most part it is heavily CT law. If a question doesn't specify what law to follow, aka it is just asking you a question, then you follow CT law because you are going to be a pharmacist in CT.
Know what the exam is about. The MPJE requires a passing score of 75% or higher. It is constructed as a 2.5-hour exam that is composed of 120 questions with three areas of focus, including: Pharmacy practice (83%) Licensure, registration, certification, and operational requirements (15%)
Give yourself at least 2 weeks to study for the MPJE, and that's if you're cramming. If you're not the cramming type, we'd suggest 3 or 4 weeks (if you go much longer than that, you run the risk of forgetting the stuff you studied early on).
NY, NJ, Florida, and Texas are considered the hardest MPJE's to pass in the nation.
The MPJE isn't harder than the NAPLEX from personal experience. It just requires you to use your brain in different way that you may not be used to and it can be mentally challenging knowing that the exam changes based on your previous answers.
If you are going to take them back-to-back like I did, I would highly recommend taking the MPJE first just since it's a shorter test and probably better to be “fresher” for since it's definitely harder than the NAPLEX.
Take the MPJE The MPJE is a 2.5-hour exam composed of 120 computer-based questions. The exam uses adaptive technology to deliver selected-response questions. The exam results will be reported as pass or fail, and candidates are allowed five attempts per jurisdiction to pass the exam.
The MPJE has 120 questions in total, but only 100 are operational; the other 20 questions are pretest questions and are not counted in your final score. The exam is scored on a scale from 0–100, with a passing score being 75.
A maximum of 5 tries per state to pass the MPJE is allowed. Hopefully you won't fail the first time you take your MPJE but if you do, you need to wait 30 days per state until you can sit for the exam again to re-take.
All questions must be answered in the order presented. You cannot skip or go back. There are no scheduled breaks for the MPJE; however, you may take a break that will be counted against the overall time allowed for the exam.
There is a 30-day waiting period after a failed attempt to take the MPJE. Candidates may reapply but will not receive a new ATT to schedule an exam until the board reconfirms eligibility and the wait period has been met.

It includes sample exam (s), an interactive table of contents for quick access to sections of interest, clearly identified notes and comments, and additional hyperlinks to reference materials, statutes, rules, and regulations.
The federal law is broken down into 70 Quickcards with condensed information that uses the memorization/scan learning method, while the individual state law is broken down into 7 or 8 pages of questions and answers.
Even though most of the information included in the MPJE is covered at one point during pharmacy school, you will definitely want to take some time to refresh your memory prior to the exam.
